Welcome to the
Culver City High School's Academy of Visual and Performing
Arts!
You’ve just taken the first step in getting to know our exciting and dynamic program. We take pride in the “whole-student” approach of our educational philosophy.
What is unique about AVPA is not only the impeccable professional training, but also the nurturing environment our teachers provide with their leadership, mentorship and expertise.
It is our teachers, programs and passion that bridge the gap between dreams and reality. Our desire is to help you reach your creative goals and to awaken the great talents within you.
The Culver City Academy of Visual & Performing Arts has built a solid reputation in its quality of performance and student achievement since its founding in 1996. We are experiencing our largest year ever, with over 200 students enrolled in over 50 classes and workshops taught by 30 faculty members, and participating in over 25 productions, exhibitions, performances, and special events during the 2007-08 school year.
We hope you will join with us in support of the work we are all doing to educate tomorrow’s artists and leaders today.
~Dr. Tony Spano and Kristine Hatanaka, Co-Executive Directors
